A Rainbow’s End Adoption Services, Inc. is a small adoption facilitator out of Southern California that has been operating since 1984. We keep our clientele to a minimum so we can provide a hands-on approach with your adoption and provide you with more specialized attention. A Rainbow’s End maintains a dedicated staff so you become familiar with the people you are working with, and the entire staff at A Rainbow’s End is familiar with your case and adoption needs.
The majority of our birth mothers are located in Southern California. We believe this prevents many failed adoptions. We like to be one-on-one with them, and enjoy getting to know them and their experiences.
A Rainbow’s End believes that everyone should have the opportunity to adopt. Our fees are broken up into three installments so adoption is more affordable. We are always available between normal business hours, but we also understand that our business is not a normal nine to five business. We can always be reached during an emergency or when the birth of your baby is near.
Irene Riley, founder of A Rainbow’s End, after 25 years is still an integral part of A Rainbow’s End. She is approved yearly to visit birthmothers that may be incarcerated in some of our local jails/prisons. She is also an adoptive mother herself, and knows the emotional rollercoaster that comes with the experience of adoption.
Irene started out as a foster parent for the County of Orange in California. After seeing how difficult it was for children to be placed in homes, and for couples who wanted to adopt, she knew she needed to help. It wasn’t until the adoption of her daughter that she knew she wanted to reach birthparents before their child was in foster care. She wanted to provide them an alternative that allowed birth parents to choose who they wanted to raise their child. She started A Rainbow’s End shortly after her husband and she adopted, and it has been that experience that has made adoption her passion.
Karin Ross has been a great asset to our team since she joined us in 2012. She currently works out of our Washington office with couples not only from Washington but also from all over the United States.
Adoption has been an important part of my extended family. I have several nieces and nephews who are adopted and have seen the blessings of adoption through my family member’s experiences.
Although, I work out of our Washington office, I am able to visit our California office often to meet with birth parents and adoptive parents in the area. These visits give me the opportunity to know our clients on a more personal level, which helps me tell adoptive parents and birth parents about each other. My favorite part of working at A Rainbow’s End is telling families they have been chosen and their dream realized. I know the decision to place a child for adoption is never easy, but I feel blessed bringing together two families for the love of one child.
My husband and I have two sons and four grandchildren and know the love having a family offers.
Danielle Riley has worked for A Rainbow’s End part-time since 2002. Even though she is only part-time, she plays a key role here.
Adoption has always been a part of my life. Not only am I adopted, but my mother owns A Rainbow’s End. I grew up learning about my adoption and learning the experiences of the hundreds of birth parents and adoptive families my mom has helped. By just being around her, her peers, and A Rainbow’s End throughout my life I have become knowledgeable in almost all aspects of adoption. My own experience with adoption has been so positive I hope to share this with birth parents and adoptive parents.
What was supposed to be a summer job while home from college turned into 10 years working at Rainbow’s End. My role has varied over the years. My main responsibility is to assist our birth parents and adoptive parents with questions and concerns. My secondary responsibilities being networking, social media, advertising, accounting, and other office work.
